Business West: Response to the UK’s Modern Industrial Strategy

Following the publication of the UK’s Modern Industrial Strategy, our Managing Director, Phil Smith, said: 

“We’re encouraged to see the UK’s Modern Industrial Strategy’s focus on innovation, skills and international trade. We also support the Government’s place-based approach to untapping our region’s potential, and that Airbus and the National Composite Centre are recognised in the strategy; both are driving industrial innovation and play an important role in our region, and the wider UK.”   

“We’re also pleased to see the recognition of the vital role that our businesses play in driving prosperity, and the increased support that will be available to help them. However, we know a key concern for businesses will continue to be operational costs, and this strategy may not provide the relief they were looking for.”
