Bristol Entrepreneur James Vincent Launches Green Shield Group Consultancy in the Southwest
Phil Walker - Green Shield Group
A Bristol-based business professional is launching a new renewable energy consultancy backed by national coverage to help local organisations reduce costs and carbon emissions with practical, tailored solutions.
After nearly 20 years of working in telecommunications with companies such as Carphone Warehouse, TalkTalk, and Sky Business, James Vincent is bringing the Green Shield Group Franchise to Bristol and the Southwest. With his background in product management and passion for sustainability, James believes the region is ready to move forward with renewable energy.
“I’ve spent 18 years working on transformative projects in technology – from mobile to fibre broadband to voice solutions. Over the past five years, my focus has increasingly shifted to sustainability. Completing training in organisational sustainability and achieving my Carbon Literacy certificate was just the start of my journey into the renewable energy space,” said James.
As part of the Green Shield Group, the consultancy provides organisations with expert advice on solar PV and other renewable technologies. Instead of offering one-size-fits-all services, the business shares insights tailored to various industries and sectors, including education, manufacturing, and the food and beverage sector.
“Bristol already has a reputation for innovation in renewables, with projects such as the UWE Heat Pump Main scheme and major solar farms nearby. Our region has heritage industries like aerospace in Filton and strong food and drink manufacturing – these are exactly the kind of businesses that can benefit from bespoke renewable energy solutions,” added James.
The new consultancy provides expert advice and aims to connect with local initiatives such as energy co-operatives, ensuring the benefits of clean energy reach the community.
Looking ahead, James is excited about delivering projects with demonstrable and visible impact. “Over the next 12 months, I want to be able to point at projects in Bristol and the Southwest and say: I helped do that. It’s about helping businesses save money, reducing carbon emissions, and leaving a meaningful legacy.”
Driving Real Change for Local Businesses
Green Shield Group’s services are now available to organisations across the Southwest through James Vincent. The franchise brings expertise in solar PV installations, energy efficiency advice, carbon reduction planning, and ongoing sustainability support, all backed by local knowledge.
“Business leaders often feel sustainability advice is too generic or out of touch with their specific challenges. My role is to change that - offering practical, tailored guidance that not only cuts energy bills but helps organisations future-proof themselves. With Green Shield Group’s resources behind me, I can deliver real practical change right here in Bristol and the Southwest,” James explained.
Message to Local Businesses
James encourages organisations to take the next step toward sustainability: “Be part of the renewable energy movement in Bristol with an experienced brand that understands your challenges, can help cut energy costs, and will partner with you to reduce your carbon footprint. Green Shield Group is already trusted by businesses across the UK, and now we’re here locally to help you do the same.”
