NPA Visuals helps decision-makers with new building and landscape proposals

NPA Visuals, South West based and one of the UKs leading visualisations companies, has launched a campaign through Marcom to increase awareness of the range of visual communication techniques available to them. These are designed to help professionals and the public to better understand new development proposals and changes to the built environment and landscape.
Targeted at design professionals in architecture, property, landscape, heritage and engineering within the Planning and Development sphere, NPA Visuals’ campaign uses a new website and social media to get their message across.
‘Visualisation of future development proposals is a really important way of helping everyone understand the look and feel of a proposed building or place,’ says Lead Visualiser Chris Hale, ‘and the more accurate the image can be the better it is at conveying the real life effects a development will have on people and on the environment. Recent developments in software and computer power have driven a revolution in our industry, to the point where a ‘verified view’ can precisely demonstrate a change to the building or landscape, at different times of the day or night and seasons of the year. It takes the guesswork out of it ensuring decision makers have a clear view of what they would see in the future.’
Visualisations – and in particular verified views – have become increasingly important in the current political and economic climate. It is expected that many more developers will be proposing new developments and the UK landscape is set to come under increasing pressure to accommodate new developments. Planners, locals and other stakeholders will need to have an accurate view of how each of these will look and how the landscape will be affected.
Mark Baines of Marcom (pictured) says ‘Our new website for NPA Visuals clearly sets out the range of techniques available, with ‘before and afters’ to demonstrate how they work and their skills in applying them. It’s been an education for us creating it and we hope it will become a point of reference for people seeking to find out just what can be achieved.’
As well as helping to develop the strategy and creating the new website, Marcom is managing an ongoing social media and thought leadership campaign for NPA Visuals, in order to draw attention to these visualisation techniques in this area of vital public interest.
