About this event

Building resilience in the face of climate anxiety

People working in sustainability can feel an emotional weight from the transformative change they are trying to make, alongside the broader societal pressures that can impact wellbeing and resilience.Workplace wellbeing initiatives can fall short if they don’t address the organisational conditions that support staff to look after themselves and do their best work.

This stress awareness month, come along to Bristol Climate & Nature Partnership’s ‘staying well in climate work’ event to explore how to support yourself, your colleagues and your staff tostay well whilst doing meaningful and impactful work.

This Climate Action Programme event aims to:

  • provide space for sharing your concerns on the climate and nature crises;

  • explore how purpose-driven work can increase the emotional load;

  • support you to build personal and organisational resilience to reduce the risk of burnout;

  • understand the practical steps organisations can take to support staff wellbeing in the long term.

There will also be an opportunity to connect with others working in this space, and to hear real examples of actions organisations are taking to support staff.

This event is limited to 40 organisations.This event is intended for those working in sustainability or in a position to influence workplace culture. The event is free thanks to our Climate Action Programme partners, but places are limited.

Light refreshments will be provided but please eat lunch before you arrive.

This event is in person only. For those unable to attend in person, we aim to share key insights after all our Climate Action Programme events in a digital resource uploaded to our resource library https://bristolclimatenature.org/resources/?project=climate-action-programme
