Wiltshire-based ALPS Ecoscience is redefining performance in the biogas sector, achieving a 30% uplift in biomethane production compared to industry standards. With tailored innovation and growth support from Innovate UK, the company has reached £1 million in turnover, signed its first international licensing agreement and is in active discussions with partners across Europe.

Fixit Medical - catheters securing device

Poole-based Fixit Medical, creator of Cingo—a pioneering device for securing catheters—is set to revolutionise patient care in the UK and internationally. The company has strengthened its intellectual property (IP) protection, refined its product design and built investor confidence through tailored business growth support from Innovate UK. After securing a £270,000 Innovate UK Grant, Fixit Medical is preparing for a funding round and laying the foundation for significant growth.

Extracellular - cultivated food pioneer

Bristol-based biotech company, Extracellular, is at the forefront of sustainable food innovation, developing cultivated meat products that promise to revolutionise health, environmental and food security. With bespoke business growth support from Innovate UK, Extracellular is rapidly scaling its operations, securing vital funding and making significant strides in the cultivated meat industry. The company has since raised £1.8 million in investments and secured more than £2 million in contracts from global customers.

Tattva — Sustainable Building Materials

Exeter-based, Tattva, is accelerating the shift to sustainable construction with a carbon-negative building material that grows in just 10 days. With tailored business growth support from Innovate UK, the company has secured a £650,000 Innovate UK grant, raised £215,000 in private investment, grown its team from two to six, filed key patents, and established a prototype demonstration with Catnic, part of the Tata Steel Group.

Latent Drive - from sea water to hydrogen

Dorset based Latent Drive is accelerating the shift to low-cost, clean hydrogen with the world’s first commercial direct seawater-to-hydrogen electrolyser stack, a device that splits water into hydrogen and oxygen, using electricity. With tailored business growth support from Innovate UK, the company has secured more than £1 million in grant funding, published its first patent, grown its team from two to five and is now targeting a £2.5 million investment raise.

FluoretiQ - point-of-care diagnostics

Bristol-based FluoretiQ is developing fast and accurate point-of-care accordionist tests, that enable the first prescription to be the right one. With Innovate UK Business Growth support, the company has developed a comprehensive IP strategy and completed a Global Business Innovation Programme visit to Germany to develop local partnerships.

Tope Ocean - remote aquaculture monitoring

Devon-based Tope Ocean is developing technology and services to help the aquaculture sector remotely monitor crops and infrastructure with its innovative low-cost offshore data buoy system. With tailored innovation and growth support from Innovate UK, the company has secured more than £182,000 in grant funding, more than doubled its turnover in just two years and created new jobs with further hires planned as it continues to scale.
